On Monday I had the opportunity to share a conversation and a cup of tea with (read Tea with Keiko Ogura). On Tuesday we made apple chips and kale chips as a collective, and ate the bag of candy that was supposed to be for the trick or treaters who never came. Wednesday I attended a meeting at city hall regarding the Citizen Review Board (read more about this organization in A Better Blue). Later that evening I attended a Day of the Dead celebration at the local Workers’ Center (read What the Colonizers Couldn’t Take).

Friday evening I attended a lecture by a Black Lives Matter leader, Didi Delgado (read Didi Delgado (Lecture Review).

Sunday morning I spend the morning cleaning the collective kitchen (my weekly chore) and then the afternoon I spent making Mexican empanadas.

The empanadas, tamales and homemade salsa were all sold as a fundraiser to help keep a member of the Syracuse community from deportation.

Later that evening I attended an anti-war meeting to round off the night, then settled in at home to enjoy the rainy evening.
